Domaine Taupenot-Merme Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Riotte 2017 (Case only) Case Size:12 acidity and slight tanninsThe 2017 Morey Saint Denis La Riotte 1er Cru has a well defined bouquet of tart red cherries and briary and fern scents, focused and displaying nicely integrated oak, though it loses some of its charm and complexity in the glass. The palate is medium bodied with chewy tannins, peppery red berry fruit and a grippy, saline finish. A little brutish compared to the showing in barrel. Maybe it will manifest more refinement in bottle.
